Beautiful absolutely beautiful, This is a wonderful example of what Kenny Howell can do.A COLT 2nd GEN. 1860 Army Revolver Converted to .44 Long Colt. It has all the features of the second Model Richards conversion. This ammo is offered by Black Hills Ammunition. Will also chamber and fire .44 Russian. The 8 inch barrel has been bored to accept a .429 bullet diameter. To make one of these for you Kenny would normally charge $2500.00 and you would have a long wait. It was made on an original Colt 2nd generation so all the markings are by Colt and are of coarse historically accurate. Kenny has NOT marked this gun with his Mark (R&D Beloit Wi USA) under the barrel as he usually does. The frame. cylinder, back strap and trigger guard are stamped with the serial number # 183145. I would say without a doubt that the action is as positive, smooth and tight as any single action I have ever handled. The nickel plate is factory fresh and the hammer is bone case colored as if it just left Colt's New York shop yesterday. The screws and barrel wedge are nitre blue (also know as fire blue) for an added touch of elegance. The ejector rod functions very smooth, and the barrel sports an adjustable for windage front site. The chances of you finding one of these are incalculable, but here it is. The grips are A+ Fiddleback walnut and show no handling marks. Kenny says he made this for himself. He has made many similar conversions for movies that starred Tom Selleck. This is a show piece of the highest order of the gunsmiths art.
