This is a Wiley Clapp Government Model Series 70 1911 style pistol in .45 ACP. Wiley Clapp designed this pistol for Colt with "everything you need, nothing you don't". It features the original 1911 small thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, long black trigger, flat checkered mainspring housing, checkered front strap, and Novak wide notch rear with brass bead front sights. Grips on this example are thin checkered rosewood. Condition is Excellent with a shiny bore, and the Colt factory box is included.
