Not just Pre-64, but Pre-War, this Model 70 is a beauty. Deep lustrous pre war blue, and beautifully grained old growth walnut. By serial number- this was made in 1941. Serial number is also etched into the bolt body. Bore is bright and mint. This one was hunted quite a bit, but never abused and certainly cleaned and/or wiped down after every hunt. It really is in overall excellent condition. As shown, comes with weaver mounts and an old 4x scope with a basic duplex reticle. Brand on the scope is "Monoscope". The buttpad is an old, cracked replacement and is hard as a rock! Always wanted to hunt with a pre war 70? Here is your rifle. Priced to shoot.
