If you are a big game hunter, planning an Africa trip or wherever, and need a workhorse rifle to bring along, here is your rifle. Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 chambered in 375 H&H. The reason I say workhorse- is that this gun has had some stock work done to it, so is not a stone bone original that has too much collector value to take into the field. Not uncommon in these heavy caliber rifles, the stock developed 2 cracks coming off the tang. One on top and one on bottom. The stock was professionally relieved at the tang inside, repaired and pinned for more strength. While the stock was off the gun it was also nicely refinished. 26" barrel, the muzzle has also been threaded for a muzzle break, which in not included. Only the thread cap. Heck a Win 70 magnum action alone is $1000 these days. This rifle is ready for whatever hunt you want to take it on. The blueing is right at 99%. The bore is mint. It has a wonderful short crisp trigger break. Express rear sight and ramp front with a silver bead. Throw down boy! As always- $35 shipping to the lower 48 and 3% surcharge for CC.
