Description:
The Model 51 rifle was the first Hamilton rifle to be chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge and has a 20" steel barrel. This rifle was made in the period 1935-1941. All other Hamilton rifles (Models 7 through Model 47 {1900-1935}) were equipped with brass lined barrels and were chambered for the .22 Short and .22 Long cartridges only. The Model 51 had both peep and leaf rear sights. Receiver has a good amount of original blue remaining with the barrel thinning to a blue/brown patina. good is in good condition except for a crack on just below the bolt on the right side. Bore has shine and good rifling visible.
