Marked on top of the barrel " No. 43 22 cal. L & S Pat. Oct. 30 1900 Aug. 9 1910 C.J. Hamilton & Son Plymouth Mich. U.S.A.". The bolt works in the conventional way to open the loading port ahead of the breech frame for inserting a cartridge and then is closed and the handle pulled back to cock the action. Metal surfaces are a plum/brown patina. Action works. Bore has visible rifling. Wood is in overall good condition. These were made between 1924 and 1932.
