#3906 L.C. Smith (Baker Patent) Trigger Release 12 Gauge
This is a very unusual L.C. Smith, with the rare trigger release to open the barrels. The front trigger when pushed from behind the front trigger is the barrel release. The barrel retains 65% brown and is marked L.C. Smith Maker Of Baker Gun Syracuse, New York Stub Twist. The serial number is 2827 and all of the numbers match. The receiver retains 40% case colors. This was made in 1879 or 1880. The serial numbering on these shotguns began at serial number 1651. The wood checkering is very good, sharp and crisp. The rear stock has a pistol grip. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight as can be. The bores are excellent, bright and shiny with out any corrosion or pits. This is a really nice shotgun.
