Up for sale today is an outstanding US Springfield Plugged M1C Garand serial no. 3638578 chambered in caliber .30-06. This outstanding as-new rifle was at one point in its life a US Army sniper rifle. Then it was reworked by Springfield Armory in 1952 and had the holes for the scope mount plugged and was reissued. It has a barrel date of "SA 4-52," and a mint bore with a throat erosion reading of 3.75 and a muzzle wear reading of 1.75. Comes in a mint GI stock along with a correct period USGI canvas sling and excellent overall finish. An outstanding rifle and a great addition to any discerning connoisseur's collection.
