Description:
A circa 1810 English flintlock pistol with 3 1/2 inch barrels, this compact little pocket gun is marked "Jackson, London" and has a 2 1/2 inch spring loaded bayonet on the bottom barrel. The .40 caliber barrels are smooth bored with faux grooves in the last 1/4 inch to resemble rifling. The barrel selector on the left side rotates the breech block, in order to fire one barrel at a time. There is a sliding bar safety below the hammer. The gun has minimal English engraving and is in excellent working order. Cased with the gun is a number of balls, a piece of flint, tool, and an old, wooden handled pocket knife in poor condition. Unique close-in self defense pistol with 2 extra barrels over the usual single barrel guns of the time.
