Description:
A unique single shot bolt action rifle for .22 short & long cartridges. Marked on top of the barrel " No. 43 22 cal. L & S Pat. Oct. 30 1900 Aug. 9 1910 C.J. Hamilton & Son Plymouth Mich. U.S.A.". The bolt works in the conventional way to open the loading port ahead of the breech frame for inserting a cartridge and then is closed and the handle pulled back to cock the action. Barrel has thinning blue with lots of scratches. Bore has good rifling but has some roughness throughout. Original sights. Action works fine. Wood has a good honest look to it.
