"There is no better tool for building fine stocks. This is a precision piece of equipment capable of reproducing any piece of woodwork that can fit in the work piece area.
The Dakota Arms duplicator is the finest tool of it kind. Built with 3/4" linear rail bearings on the X and Y axis, it can maintain tolerances that you can measure to the thousandths. The Z axis is counterweighted to make handling the router very precise. A handle on the side rotates both pieces through a full 360 degrees for the 4th axis.
It is a pantomime router carver. You put the a template stock between two centers in the right half and blank material between centers in the left half. As you trace over the template with a stylus, the router bit carves an exact duplicate in the blank on the left half."
