Description:
CZ 550 Magnum in 450 Rigby Rimless caliber.This caliber has been discontnued by CZ and in my expert opinion they are very, very rare guys. I bought the rifle new some years ago and have fired approximately 20 rounds through the barrel. The rifle has never been in the "field" and is in like new condition. The wood is of a custom American walnut and quite colorfull, The bluing is bright { when I say bright don't get confused with the bluing on early Mark five Weatherbys } with no wear.The checkering is quite well done, however not sharp enough to cut yours hands. The action is glass bedded with two reinforcing crossbolts This gun also has a set trigger { I am not sure why anyone would use this however}.The recoil pad is made in such a way that it does reduce quite a bit of recoil, however I would not recommend shooting from the bench. The express sight has three settings, one, two and three hundred meters fixed.
I would consider the 450 Rigby one of the finest calibers to take on Safari for Africas big five. These guns are scarce and generally require a premium, however I have this Rifle priced right.
As a side note I see that Mauser has just begun manufacturing their new rifle in caliber 450 Rigby, the price will scare you! This CZ is probably a better gun!
