Description:
REDUCED - This early Winchester Model 1894 Takedown belongs in a Museum or Advanced Collection. Never have we seen one this old in this wonderful 98% overall condition. Rifle has full length octagon barrel and magazine tube, folding rear sight, tang sight, etc. Stock & Forearm are near perfect with only the most minor of handling marks on the forearm, and all, including finish is totally original. Bore and chamber are mint. Barrel & Magazine tube retain most all original blue. Just about all the original case color on the lever and buttplate. Takedown has never been adjusted and we can find no evidence of any screw having been turned at any time since new. These early guns were very popular and saw heavy use over the years, but not this rifle. Passed down from original owner to son and then grandson, this rifle remains near perfect in all respects. I cannot imagine ever finding a nicer example. Serial Number 92694.
