COMPOSITE GERMAN COMBINATION WHEELOCK PISTOL / WAR AXE WITH ORNATE BONE INLAID STOCK. CIRCA 17TH CENTURY & 19TH CENTURY. 31” overall with .58 cal. smoothbore 19” barrel. Combination War axe and hammer. Stock beautifully inlaid with engraved bone animal and floral motifs with well done 19th Century restoration. 17th century Wheelock with barrel probable 19th century replacement as is the ball shaped trigger. Accompanying spanner is a modern copy of a period original specifically made for use with this weapon. Very handsome and in working order.
