Description:
This is a reissue of the WWII 45 that GI's took into combat - except that it is new. Every detail, from the lanyard loop on the heel to the Parkerization is GI issue. I have shot about 400 rounds through it after having a master gunsmith bevel the feed ramp on the barrel for smoother feeding and smoothing the trigger to ~4 lbs. Off a bench, I was able to shoot 7 rounds through the same hole and only missed the eighth due to my laughing in disbelief....It is an incredibly accurate pistol.
Auto ordnance got a bad name some years back because they made....well, crap. However, once Kahr Arms bought them the quality is as good as you can get without going custom. The gunsmith (Herman Mueschke) who worked on it was surprised at the quality of the metal and the fit of the gun. He told me, "it's as good as any Colt and for half the price!"- and he made parts for Colt. I am giving it up as I bought two and can only shoot one at the time. If you love 45's-especially 1911's, you're going to love this gun!
