#268 CENT 005, Browning Belgium 16 Bore SxS, Very Unusual & Very Rare, One of Only 10 Browning SxS Shotguns Ever Made by FN (Fabrique Nationale) for Browning, This gun commemorates the 100th year of FN from 1889 to 1989 and the Death of John Moses Browning, It has Somewhat of a Funeral Grade Motif as it is a Black Gun, 27 1/2" Chopper Lump Ejector Barrels in 16 Bore at .661 .011 & .028" (SKT. II & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, Proved in Belgium, 1,240 KG weight barrels, Double triggers with the front articulated, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Straight hand stock at 14 3/4 x 1 3/8 x 2 1/4" over a checkered butt, Slight cast-off and it points like a dream, Ideal 16 bore weight at 5 lbs. 13 oz., Gold wireline and scroll inlay on a very highly polished frame, The Gold wire is on every piece of metal top to bottom, This gun remains unfired and overall in every detail it is 99% original condition. It is cased in a Browning leather trunk with leather corners, cleaning gear, oiler, snap caps, Browning literature and a shoulder patch. The outside of the case has a Browning medallion. ///////////////////////////////////// These were made for distribution in Europe and England and were not imported into the U.S. This gun #5 of 10 was privately imported to these shores. Browning also did a special series of 10 Superposed Centenary guns and was noted as being Super De Luxe pieces. In 1989 FN celebrated its 100th Anniversary and commemorated every branch that contributed to the legendary company known the world over. This 16 Bore Game Gun is one of the special pieces of that prestigious company.
