Description:
Cal 38-55. Original 30" half oct bbl. VG shootable bore. Globe peep front sight. Folding Lyman tang rear sight. Original checkered fancy stock with cheek piece in generally VG condition with some minor repair at the wrist but sound and solid. Complete with a Schutzen style buttplate. Receiver is beautifully engraved in the typical Nimschke style of overlaid floral scrolls. Done very well. Featuring a buck deer in a panel on the top of the receiver. Double loop lever with double set triggers. Overall metal is clean and sharp. Excellent corners. Fine markings. Only minor pitting toward the end of the bbl perhaps from a bloody hand. Traces of case color turning dark and some silvery. Bbl is a plum/bluish coloration. It has an unusual cannon muzzle ring affect where the bbl turns from oct to round. Fine little gun. Untouched and VERY nicely engraved!
