(Vincenzo) Bernardelli SxS Bar Action Sidelock Ejector Model Holland VB Extra 20 (Their Highest Grade Except for Gold) Made in 1978, 28" Demibloc Ejector Dovetail Lump barrels with a hidden third bite at .725" .024 & .041" (Mod. & Full), Original 2 3/4" chambers, KG weight barrels at 1,360, Single non-selective trigger, Bushed strikers, Pierced toplever, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Pistol grip stock at 14 1/2 x 1 3/16 x 1 9/16" over a 1" pad, Very slight cast-off, 7 lbs. 8 oz.; Jeweled receiver flats and forend iron, 99% coverage of banknote tight scroll engraving and signed by G. Bertussi, The gun retains 98% original blue on the barrels, 97% receiver finish, The original wood finish is 97%, The checkering remains at 99%, The barrels inside & out are as new, The piece is smack on the face with all of the bite remaining. This is a lot of Italian Sidelock at this price, it is their Highest Grade and remains in very nice condition. The importation ceased on these in 1992 but in 1996 the Holland V.B. Extra 20 retailed for $31000.
