Parker Reproduction 28 Gauge by Winchester
We are offering this Parker DHE grade 28-gauge side by side shotgun manufactured by Winchester in Japan, the gun bears serial # 28-3771, with probably the BEST wood out here. These shotguns were one of the best reissues or reproduction efforts ever made by any manufacturer. So exacting in detail and scale of parts that its parts are interchangeable from this reproduction to one of the originals or vice versa. This one features the straight or English style stock with a single selective trigger. The 26-inch barrels are factory fix choked as follows, Left is modified and right is improved cylinder. Bores are perfect and the ejectors are selective. The butt stock has some handling marks from the pursuit of quail, dove and the occasional long treks through the hills of Northeastern Tennessee for grouse. The butt stock has fantastic wood I can honestly say better than most of these shotguns and they for the most part had great wood. It measures 14-inch's for length of pull with a skeleton butt plate. The forend is a beavertail style which I prefer so I don’t burn my hands in the dove fields. There is some wear on the receivers’ faux case colors. This is a very common trait on these guns unless one shoots with gloves and even then the faux color case would flake off. I would send to Turnbull and have it redone his finish is extremely durable and not that expensive. It is extensively engraved as all DHE models are. The gun is still vault tight, absolutely no wiggle or slop. It will include the factor case and the snap caps.
