Made in Brescia, Italy and stamped on the bottom of the barrel "Acciaio Special", this firearm has exceptional engraving. The coin finish receiver features a pointer retrieving a pheasant on the bottom and the side plates have borderless depictions of four mallards landing in a marsh on the left and on the right a covey of partridge with a setter in the background. The background and sky are extremely detailed. The action, trigger guard, upper and lower tang are covered in acanthus scroll with smaller floral scroll in the background. The marking on the left rail states "SCO".
Beautiful, dark, full figured European walnut is used for the straight English grip stock and the long forearm with Schnabel tip. The grip and forearm have extended coverage of 32LPI borderless checkering in a diamond pattern. The ABS takedown case is embossed "Perazzi Brescia Italy" on the top and is lined with maroon velvet with Perazzi logo.
Only 50 guns of this type were made in the early 80's. This is one of only 6 that were sideplated by the factory. This gun is listed by serial number in the Perazzi book by Carl Lippard. Call with questions and see our other listings for ... "Only the best!
