Densly packed small scroll engraving around the borders of the receiver serve as a backdrop for bold acanthus swags that frame perfectly porportioned Bulino scenes. The bottom shows a highly detailed pointer retrieving a woodcock with a birch tree in the background. The right and left sides show different angles of 4 gold inlaid Hungarian partridge breaking from cover. This fine art work is made even better by the flawless coin finish. The bottom of the barrels is stamped "Acciaio Special." The left rail of the receiver is stamped "SCO/O".
Broodingly beautiful Circassian walnut with marbeled grain is used for the English straight grip stock and the Schnabel tipped forend. 32LPI checkering was painstakingly cut into the gripping surfaces.
