Remington model 1871 (SOLD) Army Rolling Block Pistol. Cal 50 Army CF. 8"
round barrel with a bright very good bore having some light pitting in the
grooves The barrel has toned to a mottled brown patina having some light silvering and generous traces of original blue and light scattered pinprick pitting present. The frame retains about 40% plus original case-hardened colors with the balance toning to a smoke gray patina. The trigger shows a trace here and there of pale fire temper blue and the breechblock and hammer show a dark case-hardening. The one piece walnut grip rates very good with minor dings and handling marks and a couple of chips along it's lower edge. The left side showing a "CRS" cartouche and the butt is stamped EBM. The forend rates very good with minor dings and handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Serial # 36XX
