This is a non-import marked revolver that has matching numbered frame, cylinder, barrel, extractor, and yoke. The frame and barrel retain 85-90% of the original bright blue finish with some small nicks and scratches along the high edges, and mild fading at the muzzle and other exposed surfaces. The cylinder, which has a moderate turn-ring, has an overall smooth plum patina, but was never polished or refinished, and the gripstraps, which are stamped with an issue number on the back (“20490”), have mild freckling and some pinprick pitting along the surface. The checkered walnut grips are in good-very good shape with numerous minor handling marks, a series of chips missing from the right panel, and moderate-heavy flattening of the points. These revolvers are almost always encountered as post-'68 imports, so finding one without a stamp is very rare indeed. This example rates very good plus condition overall.
