Description:
Serial #134862, 12 Ga. (2 3/4”), 28" matted rib, damascus barrels choked Imp. Cylinder and Modified with fine, bright bores having some mild freckling within the tubes. The barrels have a nice, even gray-brown patina with strong damascus pattern, and some light brown freckling and mild silvering along the high edges. The No. 2 frame has typical "G" grade engraving with game bird vignettes and simple scrollwork surrounds. The frame retains about 40% of the original color case-hardening, and the balance faded to a pleasant gray-brown patina. The checkered walnut buttstock is a period replacement that rates very good overall with some scattered blemishes, and a hairline crack behind the upper tang. Additionally, there is some brown varnish spattered on the right side of the butt, which has been cleaned lightly behind the round-knob pistol grip. The checkered walnut forend also rates very good with a few hadling marks and surface scratches. The buttstock has been fitted with the original Parker buttplate, and has a 14" length of pull with drops of 1 1/2” and 2 3/4”. The gun is tight and functions well mechanically. This is a very nice gun that rates very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
