Description:
Serial #C88649, .38 Special, 4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a fabulous five-screw revolver, made in the early-1950s, that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor and retains 99% plus of the original blue finish with only a very mild turn-ring on the cylinder, as well as a few traces of negligible silvering along a few of the edges. The trigger and hammer retain nearly all of the original color case-hardening, while the correct, but non-original, S&W diamond-center grips are in very good shape with scattered handling marks and blemishes, as well as some flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver is housed in its original, matching numbered gold and blue, two-piece box that is in very good condition with some edge wear and corner damage. This is a great, mid-20th century, K-frame S&W in excellent condition, and would make a wonderful addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
