Colt Single Action Army Revolver Model 1873 17-4
Colt Single Action Army Revolver, model 1873, Serial number 153514, made in 1893, correct early black powder frame, 4 ¾ bbl, blue finish, standard markings, “COLTS F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD, CT. USA,” 2 line address, marked on side on barrel “Colt Frontier Six Shooter”, hard rubber grips with rampant colt, and eagle 44 W.C. F. cal (44-40). Bore is shiny with 60-70% rifling, mechanics excellent, and locks tight, numbers match. Metal excellent with 99% blue, case colors 98% as restored. Overall an excellent action. This Colt SAA has had an excellent restoration done to it and the bluing and case colors look very bright and factory new. Possibly a Doug Turnbull, restoration in any case of the highest quality, comes with a factory letter which confirms that the restored configuration is correct.
