Starr 44 Army Single Action Revolver Converted to 44 Colt Centerfire. Has detachable skeleton stock. Old conversion without a loading gate. Reolver needs to be hinged open to load. Good sharp lettering on each side of frame. Old reblue, probably done when converted. Faint serial number on cylinder. None legible on frame or upper. Recent attempt at leather cushion replacement on jaws of shoulder stock. [see photos] I've seen this same stock on several different guns, i don't know who made them. I have seen them marked "England" this one is unmarked. With stock attatched, it makes approxamately a 16 inch LOP. Good sharp lands and grooves in bore. Shallow pits around cylinder face and breech end of barrel. Some on frame. 8 inch barrel. Functions well. Indexing and lock-up seem to be correct.
