Payment Types Accepted: VISA/MASTERCARD/DISCOVER/CERTIFIED CHECK/MONEY ORDER Description: The RANGER NO. 2 was made by Hopkins & Allen Manufacturing Company in the last quarter of the 19th century.  Hopkins & Allen began manufacturing firearms in 1967, marking their guns under the name Hopkins & Allen Manufacturing Co. up until 1896, and later changing their name to Hopkins & Allen Arms Company. This revolver has "HOPKINS & ALLEN M'F'G CO." engraved above the cylinder along with the patent dates on this handgun, which are "MCH 23, 71 MAY 27 79". These dates refer to the 1870's, as the company stopped making firearms after 1914.  Also engraved on the top of the frame above the cylinder is the model name, "RANGER NO.2".  The Ranger 2 is not easily found in gun value books, but Hopkins & Allen was known to make numerous limited production guns, and they produced firearms beyond what was described even in their own catalogs! Smooth red grip with some chipping up near the frame, primarily on the left side.  Nickel finish.  There is some wear in the metal, including some scuffing on the upper right forward part of the barrel, and tap marks on both sides of the frame by the trigger, but it is in excellent condition for its age!!  (Photographs show the gun quality quite accurately.) .32 Rimfire 5 Shot right side loading antique revolver: small, smooth and comfortable.
