Flawless, well almost. There is at the very worst at least 98-99% of the blue finish remaining. There is a very small patch of light surface pin pricks on the left side of the muzzle band, some very slight edge silvering and the always present sideplate holster wear. There are no rust pits, pinpricks or rub marks, other than the ones on the muzzle. The gun is flat out gorgeous. The telltale gripstraps have no indication of graying.
The strawed parts are rather bright but have lost 45% of the gold color just from age fading. Here again no flaking or rust. The rear sight is the scarce "Fine Tune Type". All parts match except the correct wood based magazine.
The receiver is properly stamped Eagle/C, Eagle/S, Eagle/S, Upturned Eagle. The bolt is stamped with an Upturned Eagle. The wooden grip panels are perfect, no chips, splits or flattened points. The bolt face slide rails, and feed ramp show little use.
The bore is just about mirror bright with sharp and crisp rifling. There is relatively no frosting to be seen.
This is an acquisition that should bring great pleasure showing of a lot of fun on the range...$3295.
