Description:
Serial #2530, .42 Caliber (Cup-Primed), 6” octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that retains 85-90% of a nicely re-applied nickel finish with some flaking to the underlying brass surrounding the ejector housing, and some flaking and freckled gray metal on a portion of the cylinder. The edges and corners are still quite sharp and both the Plant's marking on the barrel rib, and the “MERWIN & BRAY, NEW-YORK” marking on the left side of the barrel are crisp and clear. The rosewood grips are in very good-fine shape with some scattered minor handling marks and some moderate wear at the butt on both sides. The revolver is still fully functional with an action that times and locks well. This is a great looking, period refurbished Plant Army revolver that is in fine overall condition. Antique
