Smith & Wesson Model 696 .44 Special
A reasonably scarce or rare Smith & Wesson Model 696 5 shot stainless steel revolver bearing Serial # CBP3503. This revolver is as stated chambered in .44 Special, sports a 3-inch barrel and five shot cylinder. This is an L Frame revolver. It has a red ramp front sight with white outline adjustable rear sight. The black rubber grips are factory. Very slight cylinder ring indicating very little firing. Medium smooth faced trigger has very vivid color case as does the hammer. This is an excellent carry gun I have one just like it that is not for sale. Very accurate, very controllable and 100% reliable. No stinking side lock or other recent S&W cost cutting shortcuts. The firearm does not have any of the original papers but it does have the box. One tab on the box is broken.
