Armi Beschi : Ithaca Classic Doubles 28g. #470050 From my understanding, they started at #470000 when they ran the Ithaca Doubles. So this would be the 50th gun. I have been informed that this gun might have been one of the Ithaca Doubles that the parts were not used at the factory but were still used from another to make and build the gun. I am not an expert on the history of ICD so I can't not be certain of its history. Overall this gun is in good reliable working order. Barrels are tightly fitted to action. I do believe however, that this gun has had it stock refinished. The finish is nice, but the checkering is worn some by the flat areas of the stock and the checkering on the grip has finish in the checkering. This gun is from an estate where the previous owner has passed. So I wish I could get its history. On the water tables and barrel flats there is a stamping of the importer of Oyster Bay, NY. I called to confirm. They said yes they imported these from Italy. The flats do not have case color and looks like they have been polished. There is remains of the "ITHACA" filled and stamped over with Oyster Bay. The action is tight and the case color is excellent. Pachmyer recoil pad. 14 3/4 LOP to rear trigger. 28" barrels IC Mod choke. 1.5 drop comb, 2.125 drop at heel. 6lb 6oz weight. Fitted case is included with snap caps. Take a look at pictures.
