Description:
Antique Civil War Colt Pocket Model of NAVY Caliber Revolver

Interesting Colt Revolver Variant

Here we present an antique Colt Pocket Model of Navy Percussion Revolver, made circa 1863 at Hartford, Connecticut. This revolver has also been known as the “Model of 1853” and “Model 1862 Pocket Navy”. Curiously, not as much is known about these as other Colts. It is estimated that 22,000 were made, many of which were cartridge model and conversions to cartridge, direct from the factory.

This specimen is in good overall condition and has a 4.5 inch barrel. The firing mechanism is good, as it goes into full cock, but bypasses the half cock position. The grips are good with a little toe loss. Serial numbers match. The cylinder scene of a stagecoach holdup is still visible.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 4.5 inches in length.

Caliber: .36 percussion

The bore is in very good condition and the firing mechanism is excellent.

Overall condition as seen in photos.
