Antique 18th Century Ottoman Flintlock Pistol
Here we present an antique Ottoman Flintlock Belt Pistol, made during the late 18th or early 19th century. This period was marked by the decline of the Ottoman Empire and the “national awakening” of many of its member territories, resulting in rebellion and secession. These included Greece, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania, Bulgaria and Romania among others.
The pistol is in overall fair condition. It features an embellished barrel and carved stock. The pommel, trigger guard and bolster are decorated brass. The lock features what appears to be Arabic letters. The action does function.
