FN MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE ... 30-06 caliber ... 22" barrel ... 42 1/2" overall ... hinged floorplate ... weight 7.15 lbs, 8.20 lbs with scope & mount ... LOP 13 1/2" ... banded & hooded front sight & Lyman 57 receiver sight ... quick-release base & rings set for included Leupold Vari-X II 3x9 scope with duplex reticle ... quick detach sling swivel studs. Manufactured in 1959.
Beautiful, tight scroll engraving is extravagantly spread over the entire action, over half the length of the barrel, the front sight, bolt shroud, pistol grip cap, and even the scope rings. Inlaid gold wire accents the borders and adds emphasis to the maker's name on the barrel. A beautifully detailed, gold inlaid leaping leopard decorates the floor plate.
English walnut with a sweeping grain pattern is used for the Monte Carlo stock. Background-stippled fleur de lis checkering entirely wraps the pistol grip and the forearm. A flared shadow-line supports the cheekpiece and a bone forend tip compliments the wood grain.
