Available for purchase (at a great price) is this Ithaca marked ww2 1911A1. The lower half was made by Remington Rand and it may have a commercial barrel bushing. The barrel has a P proof and is marked HS (High Standard) A lady walked into the shop the other day and said that this pistol was carried by her grandfather in WW2, he was a B17 pilot, she said. Wear and tear is as you see it, which I consider pretty typical for a carried in theatre ww2 1911A1. My dad's does not look as good as this one! The bore is excellent. Comes with 3 factory Colt commercial magazines. As you can see, the lanyard loop has a little bend to it. I don't know if this was purposeful or by accident, but I'll leave it to the buyer to straighten it out. Everything else looks like original ww2 USGI military issue. $35 shipping to the continental 48 and 3% surcharge for using a CC.
