Description:
J. Reynolds Belgian SXS Shotgun, 12 gauge with 30” barrels. Most likely manufactured between 1880 and 1900, carries Liege proof marks on both barrels and six-pointed star on the bottom of the stock’s pistol grip. Likely exported to the U.S. to be sold under the J. Reynolds trade name, as it is engraved as such on the left lockplate; the right lockplate is blank.Original finishes throughout with surface wear appropriate to age. Belgian Twist Steel barrels, double triggers and hammers, walnut stock with checkered pistol grip, front bead sight and metal buttplate with horizontal serrations. Bores in good condition, but right hammer has been replaced and does not appear to be functional and lock-up is slightly loose.
