This one has all the age and character of such a trade knife. It has obviously been blooded as indicated by the stains on the blade. The oak scales are attached to the tang with solid steel rivets. The rivets are an indicator of 19th century construction. The mark of a good forged knife is the tapered tang as seen here. It is all topped off by a well cared for set of scales. Overall length 14 1/2 inches with a 9 1/2 inch blade. The blade shows that it has not shortened. The style is similar to the one seen in a famous photo of Wild Bill. Payment Cash, postal money order, cashiers check, personal & business checks. Can be ordered with a credit card or paypal at wxx.riverjunction, cxx just type in the number 4543 in the search box.
