Antique English Half-Stock Percussion Fowler
c1860 British Half-Stock Percussion Shotgun
Here we present an antique Percussion Fowler, made circa 1860. Pieces like this were made in England and imported to the developing United States. These were quintessential pieces for homes in rural areas or on the trail West. Used for sport, provision and protection, shotguns then, like now, proved themselves invaluable.
This one’s only remaining visible marks are the British proofs on the left side of the breech, placing it around 1860. The gun features a brass buttplate and decorative piece on the left side of the stock. The ramrod is original with a brass rammer and a screw on the breech end.
