24 1/2"barrel with full-band front sight and folding twilight bead, full-band swivel base and full-band island mounting 1 standing and 2 folding express sights gold-lined and inlaid for 50, 100 and 150 yards. Figured, oil-finished walnut stock with rosewood forend tip, double recoil crossbolts, classic wrap-around point-pattern checkering, steel trapdoor pistol grip cap containing spare front sight, beaded pancake cheekpiece, inletted rear swivel, vacant initial oval and black NECG recoil pad. Mauser Magnum-length, double-squarebridge action with drop-box magazine and hinged straddle floorplate with release inside triggerguard, 3-position Model 70-style safety with S and F inlaid in gold, straight-down bolt handle with pear-shaped Celtic-engraved knob, and crisp Recknagel single-stage trigger. Mauser banner over chamber area. Extensively engraved: a herd of five cape buffalo on floorplate, elephant on grip cap, scroll on sights, barrel band, crossbolts, receiver bridges, triggerguard, bolt, and cocking piece. Zeiss Classic Diavari M 1.5-6x42 T* railmount scope with 30mm tube and fine #4 duplex reticle on Recknagel quick-detachable mounts. Pull: 14 3/4". Weight: 10lbs, 13oz. Built in Germany and Ulm-proofed in 2007. Virtually new condition.
