SALE PENDING! Here is one of the holy grails of the Remington Model 8. It is in the scarce desirable .25 Remington cal which makes it a good varmit gun. The bore is pristine and it has about 90%+ original finish. Very nice wood with no damage or cracks or bad handling marks. It is also of course a take-down. What makes this particular gun so rare and desirable as a collectable is the fact that is has a genuine 4X DRGM gun scope ( Deutsches Auchemuster ) a registered design of the German Reich between WW1 and WWII – made by the famed maker, Dr. Walter Gerard of Charlottenberg. His scopes were used on most sniper rifles of that period. IF – you can find one today – the scope and mounts go for $500 -$700. I have owned and or seen many many 08s over the years and this is the only claw mt scoped model I have encountered. The scope itself is a double claw mount on a custom made base. The condition is fine – with most of the original finish and fine clear optics with full functional adjustments. It also has standard factory iron sights and factory sling swivels.
