Description:
Colt Open Top Pocket Model Revolver - Cal. .22 - 2 3/8" Bbl - 7 shot. - SN 33510 (1875). Bore is VG+ - bright with sharp rifling and only a few rough spots - action is excellent and tight with perfect timing and lock-up - chambers are clear and free of corrosion. Metal is excellent overall wih 95%+ original nickel remaining on barrel and cylinder - brass frame is undamaged, unpolished, and has a nice mellow tone. Barrel, cylinder, and frame show very attractive professional engraving, perhaps done at the factory. Walnut grips are undamaged with perfect fit to frame and retain 95% original varnish, showing only minor wear at the "bulge" on the lower grip area. Although some 114,000 of the Open Top model were produced 1871-1877, few have survived the years in decent condition. This is an exceptionally nice attractively engraved and all original Colt Open Top in Excellent + condition that will make a super collectible.
