IVER JOHNSON SAFETY HAMMERLESS AUTOMATIC 2ND MODEL 2ND TYPE .38S&W REVOLVER, CIRCA 1895. Serial number "27XXX". Original owl head grips with no cracks or losses. All screws unturned. 95% original blue with balance fading due to slight oxidation but NO pits. Very good bore and chambers with crisp rifling. 3 1/4" barrel. Tight lockup and perfect working order. Original front blade sight. Prime example. Top break with double toggle lifter. Two line "Iver Johnons Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass….." address ending in 1893 patent pending. Distinctive trigger safety similar to modern day Glock pistols. Antique.
