Westley Richards .577 Nitro Express 3" - 650 grain
A fine vintage boxlock ejector with exceptional bores, metal and wood. Also exceptional engraving with some Gold inlay, truly one of the most beautiful guns around. Provided with factory letter, manuf. Date November, 1900. Manuf. #15095.
The rifle is proofed for 83 grains of Cordite and a 650 grain bullet. Regulated at 50 yards and shoots under 2". 18 Rounds of ammo available, Loaded by Ken Owen for regulation (I shot the rest). A sweet shooter with incredibly light recoil for the weight.
Rear sight had been upgraded and the original Westley 100-200-300 yard folding site is safely stored in the case. Rare Westley folding night hood for the front sight. Bolted safety. Barrels length 26", Stock Dimensions: 15" LOP, Weight: 9lbs 10oz. Sights open, Express Triggers, Stock: Cheek piece, Fore End: Splinter, Butt/Pad: Leather Covered Recoil Pad.
The engraved receiver still shows some trace case colors. This double remains tight with great bores and is ready for whatever roams the planet! A great English double in legendary .577 NE.
