Description:
Mfg. by Simeon North, .54 cal.Very Good plus condition. Mechanically perfect. All original parts except for old ramrod replacement. Barrel has light pitting near muzzle and flashpan. Barrel has proof marks: P and US on left side, RJ on right side at breach. Metal overall is light gray patina, muzzle edges are sharp, bore is smooth and dark. Wood has a nice plain oil finish with some fractures, mainly on the left side. Cartouch on left side of stock just aft of side plate, it is light and possibly says "LS". Lock is a dark patina with light pitting under flashpan, marked correctly with S. North, US bracketing eagle, and MIDLn Con. These letters fade slightly as they move towards muzzle. A very nice and correct martial flintlock pistol. $1900 plus S&H.
