Description:
A custom 12 bore SLE gun on a heavier 12 bore action ordered through Armeria Diana in Madrid (old high-end outfitter & gun dealer like A & F used to be in US) and those facts are beautifully hand-engraved on the left barrel. Features H & H pattern 7 pin locks with disc-set strikers, side clips and Purdey style hidden 3rd-bite, 2 3/4 in chambers. "Special" steel barrels with chrome lined bores (suitable for steel) at 27 3/8 " and choked 12 thou Left (IC) and 30 thou Right (IMod). Straight English grip and very comfortable full beavertail forearm- 14 3/4 LOP x 1 1/4 DAC and 2 1/8 DAH, 1/8 in. cast off with thin solid brown pad on butt. 7 pounds, 9 ounces balanced on hinge pin. Full-coverage tasteful hand-engraving with scrolls on bright bone-hardened case color (98%) and very nice fine line checkering on tight-grained figured walnut, 98% blueing on barrels with flat hand-checkered anti glare rib. All the bells and whistles but nothing superfulous, evidently ordered by a very discerning sportman. This gun was very little used and in 98% overall condition and tight. Ejectors timed, double triggers (with articulated front trigger) are very crisp. A solid hand-built gun from the late 1950s in fantatstic shape that will serve as a great pigeon, pheasant, duck, dove or sporting clays SxS. Grulla crane stamped in action flats and heavy proof. Beautiful well balanced gun- especially great value for this money.
