Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Certified Check, Money Order Description: German DWM Luger Parabellum Pistol 1908 in 9mm “First Issue” P.08 Regiment Marked “103.R.M.G.52.” Here we present an Imperial German DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Pistole Parabellum 1908 Military Luger Pistol, made circa 1909 in Berlin. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical and productive fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. There are many variations in this field of collecting, but relatively few major changes in overall design from beginning to end. The P.08 is the pistol carried by German troops during World War I and II and is perhaps the most associated with those events. It is one of the most iconic pistols in history. This pistol features the marking “103.R.M.G.52.” meaning 103rd Infantry Regiment (possibly Reserve Infantry Regiment) Maschinengewehr (machine gun [company]) with an individual gun number of 52. One source claims that only 2% of these were ever regimentally marked. The serial number is 1111 without a suffix. The breech, barrel and receiver bear the German military proof mark of the stylized eagle. The receiver also bears the double “crown/CF” proof marks unique to this model. The right side of the frame, above the trigger to the left is a very small “crown/E” which is the Ehrfurt proof mark put on the pistol when a magazine hold-open was installed. The chamber is correctly not dated. The condition is fine. About 70% of the original rust blue with almost complete straw colors are present. All markings are clear and legible. The checkered walnut grips are in fine condition with sharp checkering and little wear. Serial numbers match. Bore is very good. The action is excellent. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Another regimentally marked example not currently found worldwide! Barrel is 4 inches in length. Caliber: 9mm Luger (9mm Parabellum) The bore is in very good condition and the action is in excellent condition. Overall condition as seen in photos. Here is an original P.08 Luger with rare regimental markings. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL.
