Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Certified Check, Money Order Description: Scarce DWM Luger 1900 American Eagle Pistol in .30 Made for the American Commercial Market 7.65x21 Here we present a German DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) 1900 American Eagle Commercial Luger Pistol, made circa 1900 in Berlin. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical and productive fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. There are many variations in this field of collecting, but relatively few major changes in overall design from beginning to end. The Luger is certainly one of the most iconic firearms in history, made so primarily by its association with Germany during both World Wars. The 1900 American Eagle Commercial Luger Pistol was a version of the 1900 Commercial (the first successful Luger pistol in production) made specifically for the American market in the early 20th century. The most eye-catching feature of this pistol is the American Great Seal located on the chamber. This pistol features the early grip safety, dished toggle knobs, long frame and receiver. “GERMANY” is stamped on the frame under the serial number, indicating that it was made for export to another country. It is chambered for the 7.65 Luger cartridge. The top of the toggle is marked with the “DWM” monogram. The serial numbers match. The trigger is the narrow version, slightly offset to the right. The extractor is flat. The nickel-plated magazine is correctly unmarked. The safety lever is of the early flat and checkered variety. The barrel is 4-3/4 inches long with a thin profile. This includes a locking case with a green felt lined interior, brass hardware, burgundy outer cover, and a label marked “Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken/Berlin/Parabellum-Pistole”. The condition is very good plus. About 75% of the blue and bright straw colors are present. All markings are clear and legible. The checkered walnut grips are in very good condition, showing just a little wear. Serial numbers match. Bore is very good. The action is excellent. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-3/4 inches in length. Caliber: 7.65 Luger (.30 Luger, 7.65x21 Parabellum) The bore is in very good condition and the action is in excellent condition. Overall condition as seen in photos. Here is a scarce and early Model 1900 American Luger in fine condition. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL.
