This is the rare early version with full octagonal 4 inch barrel and serial number 988. Left side of barrel is marked: ALLEN & WHEELOCK.WORCHESTER.MASS Condition: Fine to excellent for this rare model. Dark grey-brown age patina with traces of case coloring remaining sides of barrel. Grips excellent. Barrel exhibits strong rifling and minimal pitting. Action and extractor work fine.
