Description:
Winchester Model 1890 - 3rd Model - Cal. .22 Short - 22" Oct. Bbl. - SN 416XXX(1910). Perfect bore - bright with sharp rifling - perfect action with excellent feeding, extraction, ejection and tight lock-up. Metal is excellent overall with sharp edges and markings - no rust, pits, or corrosion - excellent screws. Barrel and magazine tube retain about 85% blue with some light fading and "spotting" or flaking, mostly on the right side of the barrel. The receiver has 75% - 80% blue with some spotting and flaking - guard and tangs have about 50% blue drifting to a medium gray patina - steel buttplate retains 60% fading blue. Wood is excellent with good fit to frame - buttstock shows minor dents and dings from normal use but there is one minor gouge in the lower bottom portion - retains 90% finish overall. A very crisp and all original, unaltered 3rd Model 1890 in Fine ++ or better condition with perfect bore and mechanics that will make a great shooter and collectible.
